The toolbox is an HTML solution. Supported browsers are Google Chrome, Mozilla, Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer11.0+, Edge, Safari.

The Toolbox is also available on a mobile device (smartphones and tablets)

In general we have a 24*7 availability. Ofcourse there are maintenance windows.

  • Our Continuous Improvement Toolbox (COIMBEE) is served 100% over https.
  • users have their own user-id and password
  • All of our services run in the cloud. COIMBEE does not run our own routers, load balancers, DNS servers, or physical servers.
  • All of our services and data are hosted in Amsterdam ????
  • Customer data is stored in multi-tenant datastores, we do not have individual datastores for each customer. However strict privacy controls exist in our application code to ensure data privacy and prevent one customer from accessing another customer’s data.

Data is available 24*7 and backups are made daily.

The Coimbee Toolbox is immediately clear to users through a short explanation. Nevertheless, the Toolbox contains a Help function plus a reference to a manual

The question is whether employees have any suggestions or whether they are unable or unwilling to make them known.

Trust and openness (transparency) is important to start improving. And by working on improving, confidence increases.

To help employees come up with suggestions, we have the following tips:

  • organize a meeting in which the work process is central and everyone can mention what he / she thinks could be better
  • organize a short training to recognize waste in work
    . Waiting is a waste, Mistakes are a waste,
    Exercise is a waste and there would still be 5 types of waste
  • Clearly state what the customer expects and what the objectives are.
  • By involving employees, they become involved and come up with suggestions
  • start with small improvements, 1 or 2 at a time; book success that increases confidence and build.

In the beginning, any improvement suggestions are welcome. At some point (after 3 months) the process is running and you want to start more targeted improvements. Improvements that fit the purpose of the company or team. Set and communicate those goals and associated frameworks. The Coimbee Toolbox facilitates you in this.

Solving a problem that returns after a few weeks is not what you want.

A few things are important to prevent this:

  • involve the right people in realizing the improvement.
  • work with a structured problem solving approach (PDCA) and make sure that you don’t think too quickly about solutions and that you first know what the real problem is and what the real cause is

You can create as many teams as you want. And the number of improvement suggestions that you can record in the Coimbee improvement toolbox is unlimited.

Yes, you can record actions.

You can record an action and assign that action to one or more people (also outside your own team).

You assign an action from an improvement suggestion or from the day start.

All actions are added to the person concerned in his / her personal action list. The system sends an email if a new action has been created to the person concerned. The system also sends reminders.

The system has 3 roles

  1. user
  2. manager
  3. administrator

The administrator creates the teams and appoints the Strategic Initiatives, Origin and Document types. Initially, this still takes hours of work.

The manager adds employees to his / her team (username, email). This was done in 10 minutes for 10 employees.

The response speed of our Helpdesk depends on the contract concluded.

Absolutely! The Dagstart board is fully supported by Coimbee.
1. Coimbee is about teams and employees within the team
2. Each team has its own Day Start board
3. this Dagstart board has, as it were, 6 blocks; you can fill in every block yourself. For example, how did yesterday and what is on the program today, many teams have block-1 and block-2.
4. Any employee can make changes to any block on the Day Start board
5. by the way, there are 6 blocks on each Dagstart board
6. You can also name actions during the Day Start and these are then at the bottom of the Day Start sign
7. Normally, the Day Start board consists of 2 parts: a Performance board and an Improvement board. In the Coimbee Improve Toolbox these are also 2 boards, which are only 1 click apart.
And to make it even more beautiful: there is also a week or month start board. Again with 6 blocks and a separate action list.

No, research by Erasmus University Rotterdam has shown that rejecting a submitted improvement suggestion encourages the submitter to come up with a better improvement suggestion next time.

It is important that it is well explained that the suggestions have been rejected and especially why they have been rejected. The latter provides the submitter with information to come up with a better suggestion next time.
